The play follows a schoolgirl called Amelie and her fathers journey through grief as they relocate to a new town after the mother's death. As her dad fades further down the rabbit hole of depression, Amelie puts her feelings on hold and takes it upon herself to care for her dad, sentencing herself to a premature end of her childhood. However when she befriends a starling, Amelie begins to seek solace in her mothers passing and find new hope for her and her father's futures.
